Trio Video Tango
When Tango rolled out of Trio Video’s Chicago headquarters on the final day of 2003, it already had substantial bookings, including a number of high definition telecasts for WGN, Fox Sports Net North, and several other national clients. Why so popular? It could be because the 53-foot trailer, with a 47-foot expandable side, is capable of originating broadcasts in 720p, 1080i, and 24p natively...and, of course, standard definition.
Tango’s multiformat capability is built around Grass Valley LDK 6000 HD cameras, a Grass Valley Kalypso 4-M/E 90-input HD production switcher with Accom’s DVEous MX dual twin-channel HD/SD DVE, Sony multiformat, IMX, and Digibeta VTRs, and EVS HD LSMXT 4-channel video disk recorders. All this leads to upcoming bookings for ESPN MLB League Championship Series, WGN NBA, and Comcast SportsNet Chicago NBA and NHL.
