Interface Communications’ Hermes

Launched in January 2003, Hermes is named after the Greek Messenger of the Gods and designed as a hybrid SNG/EFP vehicle versatile enough to fit into a small footprint, yet large enough to accommodate multi-camera productions.
Hermes was built to fill the niche when a production trailer is just too large or just overkill, with the majority of its productions supporting six to eight cameras.

Hermes has most of the features found in much larger vehicles allowing it to handle everything from a variety of sporting events, parades, concerts, church services, fashion shows, talk shows and split feeds—with transmission—all under one roof.

It’s Greek heritage notwithstanding, Hermes was supposed to be sent over to Athens for the 2004 Summer Olympics, but it had so many bookings well in advance of the Games, that it had to be kept on the east coast.

Hermes has covered the 2003-2004 NBA Finals, 2005 Orange and Super Bowls, Street Basketball @ Rucker’s Park in New York City, ESPN’s “On Campus” Cold Pizza and was on-hand for Super Bowl XL in Detriot.
